Facilities Supervisor

Title: Facilities Supervisor

 

Status: Full Time (40-hours per week), permanent, exempt

 

Location: Ash Creek Forest Management, LLC Hillsboro main office (primary location).

 

Transportation: Provide own transportation to worksites, Beaverton facility, and other planned locations.

 

Compensation & Benefits: $50,000-$55,000 per year salary, DOE. Paid time off, sick leave, unpaid time off, medical and dental insurance, life insurance, retirement.

 

Job Summary:

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and performing maintenance and repair to ensure that Ash Creek facilities and equipment are properly functioning and ready for Field Operations. This role will report to the Field Operations Manager.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily workflow and operations of the facilities department.

  • Provides training, feedback, and performance evaluations that are timely and constructive to

    employees within the facilities department.

  • Trains and advises support staff on appropriate tool repairs and maintenance. Delegates field team member training to field trainers.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspects, maintains, repairs, or coordinates repairs of all company equipment and facilities in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

  • Ensures facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special projects.

  • Identify and troubleshoots facility systems and tool issues, and coordinates resolutions where

    appropriate.

  • Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, insurance, inspections, service agreements, and

    contracts for various pieces of equipment.

  • Ensures facilities and equipment are in compliance with company, state, and federal safety

    regulations.

  • Is responsible for maintaining maintenance budget, vendor contract negotiations, and vendor management for maintenance and services critical to the facility.

  • Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment.

  • Must maintain a safety-first mindset at all times.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Mechanically inclined with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Works well independently and with others.

  • Proactive, positive, and professional communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn fleet and equipment management software such as

    Fleetio.

  • Organized with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

    Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or technical training, or relevant certificate, preferred.

  • Experience with a wide variety of outdoor power tools and equipment including brush cutters,

    chainsaws, ATVs, and trailers, required.

  • 3+ years relevant work experience in Operations, Maintenance, Facilities Management, or

    related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant supervisory experience, preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.

  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

  • Must be able to visually inspect machines.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
