Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Response

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has come to the west coast and now is the time to act before we lose the battle to save our beloved Oregon Ash.

With the assistance of several east coast experts, who have been dealing with EAB for many years, Ash Creek Forest Management, LLC has pulled together the resources to create comprehensive EAB Protocol including monitoring, detecting, preventative treatment, and removal of infested trees.

Step 1: Survey

Surveying all Ash Trees for potential signs of EAB is essential to stop the spread. This may be a walking survey or a drone survey.

Step 2: Prevent

Yearly Pesticide Treatments can prevent EAB from attacking an Ash. Additionally, felling distressed Ash can help keep EAB away from healthy trees.

Step 3: Act

If EAB is found, it needs to be reported and treated immediately to prevent the spread. This involves felling impacted trees and chipping them on site.
